Campaigns

Every campaign runs in two phases.

Strategy first, then execution. We diagnose the problem before we reach for a tactic, and we never assume the answer looks like a Bump service before we've actually worked out what will move the file.

Phase 1 — Strategy

It starts with an Idea Sprint.

Every campaign begins the same way: a paid Idea Sprint, where we sit down with your team and diagnose the problem before reaching for a solution. We approach it in a way that keeps every possible tactic on the table, including ones we'd never execute ourselves. A paid media buy, a coalition, a single well-placed relationship, a documentary, a policy experience: whatever actually moves the file, not whatever we happen to sell.

That openness is deliberate. We don't pitch, and we don't walk in with a predetermined answer. The Idea Sprint is where the real thinking happens, before anyone commits to a single tactic.

The output

The Idea Sprint culminates in a full campaign plan.

Phase 2 — Execution

No two campaigns look the same. But some tactics recur.

Execution can include almost any tactic the Idea Sprint surfaces, weighted and combined differently every time. In practice, campaigns built for policy audiences tend to lean on a handful of components.

A full creative umbrella

A single strong idea that holds every asset together, so the message actually lands instead of scattering across a dozen disconnected pieces.

(video) thought leadership

Putting the individuals whose credibility is key to shaping the file front and centre. In a policy micro-community, people trust people before they trust brands.

Earned or paid media

Coverage and placement that extends a campaign's reach beyond whoever was already in the room.

A policy experience

Bringing the right people in a micro-community together, in person. ACEA's #FutureDriven Experience — nearly 40 events across six weeks at our Policy Experience Space — is one example.

An original podcast

A dedicated series that gives the individuals shaping a file a recurring platform, building credibility episode by episode. The Parliament Podcast Studio is one example.
