How Bump's Café Concept works
One-day activations, or a longer takeover — during café hours, or after.
Both formats put you inside a working coffee bar, not an empty room you have to fill yourself.
A single day at Bump's Café Concept — during normal café hours, blending into the daily rhythm of a working coffee bar, or after hours, for a space that's entirely yours.
A minimum of two weeks with the full café as your footprint — long enough to build momentum, run a rotating programme, and become part of the neighbourhood's daily routine.
Built to reconfigure in minutes, not hours
The space is built around a custom designed and fabricated furniture system that lets us convert from one spatial layout to another quickly. A room set for a lunch salon becomes a seated audience, a dinner table or an open reception without scaffolding, hired kit or a visible reset. That flexibility is what makes two operating modes in a single day possible.
The café operates in two modes. Between 9:00 and 15:00 it is trading as a café, so events run alongside regular service. From 16:00 we close the doors to the public and hand the space over for private gatherings. The hour in between is the changeover.
The same room, reconfigured: ten formats, from a hands-on workshop to a seated dinner.

Running events inside a working café is new to Brussels. It's a deliberately different proposition to the standard breakfast briefing in a hotel function room. The formats are smaller, the room stays informal, and the programme is built so that the coffee before and the conversation after carry as much weight as the session itself. People arrive early, stay late, and talk to each other in between. That's the point.
Smaller hosted discussion around a table, built for curated conversation and relationship-building. A roundtable concept.
Structured learning session with active facilitation, from short practical classes to longer deep dives. The same setup serves hackathon breakout sessions.
Time-boxed collaborative sprint where participants build and test solutions across a day, closing with a showcase or demo session.
Branded interview or discussion recorded on a custom built stage, tucked into a corner of the room with the working café as a live backdrop. Editorial in feel, with the energy of a real space behind it rather than a studio wall.
After hours · from 16:00
Doors close to the public and the space becomes private. The formats here are more familiar, but each carries a few sophisticated twists in how the room is set, how guests move through it and how the evening is paced.
Seated multi-speaker conversation for a live audience, suited to policy, leadership or industry topics.
Intimate moderated conversation between one host and one guest, designed to feel personal and editorial.
One-to-many presentation format for a clear point of view, product story or thematic opening moment.
Seated hosted dinner for a closed guest list, built around a single conversation or a guest of honour. Works as a standalone moment or as the close to a daytime programme.
After-hours networking event, cultural moment or themed social gathering that activates the full space in a more informal way.
