The story

In March 2026, Meta brought the Brussels AI Symposium – Build to Lead to the Bump Policy Experience Space: an evening convening some of Europe’s most influential voices on AI policy around one question — what will it take for Europe to stay relevant, and lead?

European Parliament President Roberta Metsola gave the opening keynote, equal parts myth-busting and call to arms: across 27 countries, 24 languages and more than 200 political parties, there is genuine consensus that AI is a moment Europe cannot afford to miss. Ministers, founders and industry voices followed, from the energy needed to make AI scale to what Europe is already building, from AI wearables to autonomous robotics.
